The first thing I'd like to say is that before I started this club I was terrified of public speaking. In Dec. 2005 I did a small 1 min. talk up on stage at a party and I could hardly breath much less talk. But I think I can do better than that now.
When I heard about how the Deems were gonna start going to a speech club I was thinking, "Oh, that's sorta neat I guess." But when my mom said I was to go I was TERRIFIED. I kept thinking about it every night and telling my self that I could never give a speech (or compete against others with it). I pleaded with my mom not to go but she knew better and I was WRONG. Now I thank her so dearly for sending me. (I just wish I would of started more speeches earlier).
The number one fear in America is public speaking and the second greatest fear is to start a conversation with a stranger. I believe that I have conquered both of these very much. And about 70% of it was because of this Speech Club. I believe, and everyone else around me believes that I've come out of my box (Comfort Zone) and that I'm turning into a different person altogether. What do you think?
There's much more I could say but I don't want to take your day away so I'll close with this.
If you haven't got started in a public speaking club or class and you don't want to than DO IT!
I have learned to try new things and every time I do I grow more and more and you can too!
Find out who you really are.

David,
Thank you for writing your feelings on this subject and for encouraging others to step up and go for it. Grandpa and I have noticed a huge difference in you this past year. Your speeches and your ability to go up to people and made a conversation are awesome. You will be able to help many people in this area and God will use you in a mighty way for His Kingdom. We love you,
Grandma Dot
Thank You for showing a good example to all your grandchildren. We couldn't ask for better grandparents in all the world.
God Bless
I heard somewhere that people fear public speaking more than death.
That's Interesting. Aaron.
So you asked if you were a different person. Well, I really couldn't say, 'cause I 've only known you since you joined CC, so I haven't the fogogiest idea as to what you were like before! *snort* :)
