You've Got It!"Today I had an interesting talk with a man. He looked quite old in years. His life had been long and hard. He began to talk with me. As I listened, he imparted true wisdom. Here are some of the things he told me (he repeated things for clarity and greater emphasis):<br /><br />"You've got it kid! You've got it! Don't let people tell you otherwise. I know you will do great things one day. Get a good education! Remember to get a <span style="font-style: italic;">really good education</span>! Follow your dreams kid! Go for number one! You've got it!"<br /><br />Keep in mind, I had never met this man. He just began talking to me after my dad introduced me and I just listened. It sounded almost prophetic. It was as if God wanted this man to tell me this for a reason. Later as we headed home, I pondered over what he had said. He had told me what he had done at 17. I was astounded. He had bought his own car, was working two part-time jobs, and did a great many other things that I have yet to start. He said that his daughter worked at a place where kids were handicapped. I think that what he meant by, "You've got it," was that I didn't have a mental or physical problem. I don't have a family to take care of yet. I am free to learn all I want. I can be anything that God wants me to be. Nothing is holding me back. I have a choice to make something of my life; to use it to serve God and bring Him glory in all I do. Why wait until I am his age and regret the choices I have made?<br /><br />He also advised me to not think about women just yet. Here's what he said, as I recall: "Listen kid. Don't be thinking about women. They'll fill up your mind and you won't think straight. Like when you can't see the sun because the clouds are in the way. Thinking about women will distract you from getting a good education. Start thinking about your future today. You can be anything you want to be! Just go for it!"<br /><br />Now I think education is good. Don't get me wrong. But what he failed to mention<span style="font-style: italic;"> even once </span>was that we are here to glorify our Creator. Getting a <span style="font-style: italic;">good education</span> is great so long as we are using it for the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31-33) And I also agree that thinking about women before I am ready for marriage will cloud my thinking. I need to be able to provide for a family before I think about looking for a wife and starting a family of my own. I trust that God will lead me. His plans are much greater than mine. I look forward to what he has in store for me.<br /><br />DavidDavid Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-70360528061627713322010-02-24T09:03:00.000-08:002010-02-24T09:29:49.186-08:00God Exists Whether We Believe in Him or Not<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/S4VhIgZnYLI/AAAAAAAAB7A/c_oj4DqoINk/s1600-h/van-til.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 203px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/S4VhIgZnYLI/AAAAAAAAB7A/c_oj4DqoINk/s320/van-til.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441862523511333042" /></a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#C0C0C0;"><br /></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 20px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#C0C0C0;">"Now, in fact, I feel that the whole of history and civilization would be unintelligible to me if it were not for my belief in God. So true is this, that I propose to argue that unless God is back of everything, you cannot find meaning in anything. I cannot even argue for belief in Him, without already having taken Him for granted. And similarly I contend that you cannot argue against belief in Him unless you also first take Him for granted. I'm sorry I haven't posted in such a while. I'll try and be more active on this blog. I've just been so busy. It's the beginning of the year and things have really began to happen for me. It was quite busy. I haven't done school for some time now and it is very refreshing to know how hard it is and how ignorant I am. :P...lol<br /><br />But I think that's what education is for. As long as I keep a teachable spirit, I should learn lots of wonderful things that I can use now or later in my life if I choose to. There sure is a LOT of <span style="font-style: italic;">knowledge </span>in this world. I hope to continue learning for the rest of my life.<br /><br />I want to make a difference in the world. Do you? Well it starts with family. If I have a terrible relationship with my family, it is going to be very difficult trying to be happy elsewhere. No matter where I go, I can't escape my problems. They just keep coming up in my life. Although, I think it's really how we <span style="font-style: italic;">deal </span>with the problems in our lives that define our character. If we run away from them, they aren't going to just vanish. We need to face them and respond in a biblical way; the way that God would have us respond.David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-68751533849075413922009-11-13T11:58:00.000-08:002009-11-14T00:11:11.917-08:00Jr. Speech Tournament Again!Tomorrow is the Jr. Speech Tournament for children who are 11 and under. It's going to be very fun. Older children from age 12-18 will be judging them. I'm sure the day will turn out just grand. I think this is our 4rth Jr. tournament. Each one gets better than the last. I hope to see some of you there. :)David I would encourage you to get your hands on it. Here's her website:<span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 0);"> </span><a style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 0);" href="http://debrafine.com/">debrafine.com</a>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-90697964937529029152009-06-19T00:38:00.000-07:002009-06-19T00:39:13.869-07:00Funny Picture of Noah<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;">Here's my cousin Noah with a Doll's wig on. <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw1QOIMhGnksfI4uHcZs4eBivre9BNxdIEmh7PrnlJq7LstSQmliXMyPqTIM_KE43iBsf3Z65aPOnYdggDyEuJqq7CAoPicWd-rYlbVy8UMDojWs7kcYfOR1sCr6MEoBpOs-DJv5w_XHk/s1600-h/Noah+Looking+Funny.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw1QOIMhGnksfI4uHcZs4eBivre9BNxdIEmh7PrnlJq7LstSQmliXMyPqTIM_KE43iBsf3Z65aPOnYdggDyEuJqq7CAoPicWd-rYlbVy8UMDojWs7kcYfOR1sCr6MEoBpOs-DJv5w_XHk/s400/Noah+Looking+Funny.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" alt="Posted by Picasa" style="border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" align="middle" border="0" /></a></div>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-26314069721656422342009-06-03T23:28:00.000-07:002009-06-03T23:33:23.416-07:00Mark Driscoll on "The Shack."<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pK65Jfny70Y&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pK65Jfny70Y&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-89345564438457828802009-06-03T15:18:00.000-07:002009-06-03T15:18:42.081-07:00This Makes Me Smile<div style="MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/Sib2wU5H65I/AAAAAAAABgU/wThgiwwsM3k/s1600-h/Jared+at+the+piano.JPG"><img alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/Sib2wU5H65I/AAAAAAAABgU/wThgiwwsM3k/s400/Jared+at+the+piano.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-34783783373667898262009-06-02T13:49:00.000-07:002009-06-02T13:49:34.440-07:00My Brother - Christian<div style="MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center">Christian Covenant Kruse<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/SiWQXQbbakI/AAAAAAAABfs/yPaslOIrJEg/s1600-h/Christian+Covenant+Kruse.jpg"><img alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Ak23x6MsS6g/SiWQXQbbakI/AAAAAAAABfs/yPaslOIrJEg/s400/Christian+Covenant+Kruse.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-48257673585713137372009-06-02T13:34:00.001-07:002009-06-02T13:37:24.373-07:00Tuesday’s News<span xmlns=""><p><span style=";font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12;" >I had a piano lesson today and am very excited to continue practicing it. It is such a joy. My Grandma took me (well, drove me) there.<br /></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">Next week my Great Aunt Ginger and Great Uncle John are coming up from AZ. They are such wonderful people. I can't wait to see them. Hopefully, we'll be able to play tennis with them sometime. Tennis is a very fun game to play; especially with my family. I expect we will do lots with them and have a really great time. I better keep you all updated with what's happening. </span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"><br /> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;">The other day, our family went to the Sleadd's house and played on their zip line. After that we walked around in their pool for a while. You see, they didn't have much water in it then. But now it's probably filled up pretty good and high. Pools are usually fairly nice in the summer. </span><span style="font-family:Wingdings;"></span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman;"><br /> </span></span></p><p><span style=";font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12;" >Devin and me are currently working on the classic skit, "Who's On First," and will perform it in about a month from now. It's actually quite thrilling to practice it with Devin because he's so funny. In any case, after we perform it, I want to put it on this blog. So be sure to remind me later.<br /></span></p><p><span style=";font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:12;" >Alright, enjoy this beautiful day that God has given us. </span></p></span>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-10118896446444474102009-06-02T13:11:00.001-07:002009-06-02T13:11:04.372-07:00Hi<span xmlns=''><p>hey</p></span>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5522345934310229671.post-77159287458365912862009-06-02T13:07:00.000-07:002009-06-02T13:07:58.819-07:00Sad Brother<div style="MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQp7Y-d1j0-drh8ebFNhgCKxI-ch-yzS6vBKhWQFALb-gtO_oO7kKVxZoWZiLogFUoCjh4h-nu7q9jtEKJ2cWVrr7ACCtcj28CXxRBmLP7Qw8x2ICorWZA8zFzEsjqE8Drq9ApubQPqrg/s1600-h/Jonathan.JPG"><img alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQp7Y-d1j0-drh8ebFNhgCKxI-ch-yzS6vBKhWQFALb-gtO_oO7kKVxZoWZiLogFUoCjh4h-nu7q9jtEKJ2cWVrr7ACCtcj28CXxRBmLP7Qw8x2ICorWZA8zFzEsjqE8Drq9ApubQPqrg/s320/Jonathan.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><div style='clear:both; text-align:CENTER'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div>David Krusehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00091453069940925800noreply@blogger.com0
