Who Do We Think We Are?

Who do we think we are?

We go on with life as if it revolves around us. As if we're the ones who should and must have everything there is. More and more junk. Do we really need it? Are we man-focused or are we God-focused? Are we looking at the creation or the Creator? The gifts or the Giver?

Thanksgiving has brought these questions to my mind and maybe yours too. Who do we think we are??? I ask you that. Our lives are but of little importance to the one who gave life. The sustainer of the universe. The King above all kings.

We go on with our busy lives as if they are of importance. As if all our stuff was to die for.

Who Do We Think We Are?

We must ask ourselves what and who is most important in our day to day lives. Thanksgiving has showed me that this year. That nothing else matters when God is our greatest desire and when he is our greatest focus. When we realize how insignificant we really are then, and only then, can we see how great is our God.

"For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen." -Rom. 11:36

I haven't posted for a considerable amount of time and I just thought it fitting that I should.

David, that was such an awesome post!!! I know what you mean... Who do we think we are!?! It's pretty amazing when we look around and see all God has created, all we have been blessed with and how small we really are in this world. But, God does use the small things in this world to change the world. And that's what we are put on this earth to do... change the world so that God will be glorified!
