After getting off the long plane ride in Charlotte (which was on Tuesday) we got a blue rental car and drove up to Ridgecrest where the conference was going to be held at. Actually... come to think of it, we went straight to bed and then in the morning drove up. While we were driving and noticing the North Carolina Mountains and its terrain I realized how similar the land was to our state of Oregon. Everything was so luscious and green. Except it was All Over the place! Driving down the freeway you could barely even get a glimpse of the towns because the trees were so dense and close together! Maybe it is… just a slight bit greener than OR. No offense.
Once at our destination we checked in, unpacked, and began meandering about through their bookstore which they had setup; and I think, held all the books. However, I probably would have gotten more books if they were all free. But obviously, they weren’t. You know, since were talking about books, here are some of them that I purchased while I was there.
It wouldn’t have been possible if my Grandma hadn't gave me, Kaila, and Uncle Kenny each $100. She’s very kindhearted and I hope to be as gentle & polite as her someday.
Like I said up above, North Carolina is beautiful! Including the towns. Here's a few pictures of 'em even though their not very high quality. (You see, it's because of my terrible camera.
